Reviews
The cafe might be a tad bit small / limited seating but I LOVE how it offers
✔️ all day brunches (so I can brekkie food options any time of the day)
✔️ a very nice range of food options from healthy (açais/sourdough/granola etc), western, unique Asian to dessert options that can suit the palate of anyone/everyone and great for gatherings when cant decide. And they actually pull off the different flavours / food quality well! Even their drinks taste good & with very well-suited fairytale names!
✔️ not sure how they sustain - but it runs for 24h ! 🥹😯
✔️ self-service water which is great ! Toilet avail & clean.
The entire restaurant was kinda freezing though. 🥶
Menu:
- Avocado toast 🥑 with pumpkin seeds & almonds look simple but it actually tasted rly good! Avo was nicely chilled like cream, whilst sourdough was toasted, topping were good amount of crunch. Would recommend.
Praline hazelnut had crunch feulettine base, & nice balance of textures of chocolatey cream/cake/crunch etc but just a tad too sweet at certain sections for me.
They have a sister branch concept jsut 1 alternate outlet down where it is just focused on the desserts (macaron/ icecream / cakes), but without the mains. Technically you can still enjoy the desserts within this outlet, or you can go to the calmer brighter space next door. Understand the food sometimes travels from one kitchen to another, depending on what is being ordered/prepared 😅
But understandable given that they offer such a wide variety of food!!
Also their menus can all be easily accessible on their website 👍🏻
They are on Burpple/ occasionally have vouchers which make them even more affordable!
Would recommend 👍🏻
Quaint cafe, with reasonable selection of western food and cafe bites. Rose latte was delightful.
Atmosphere wise, you really have to raise your voice to talk to occupants on your table, tables are assessed to be too close, hard to hold a conversation.
I had a diner who tried to wrap her hand around the next chair and brushed onto me when I was having my meal. Perhaps a simple readjustment of tables could be considered to fix.
Didn't help that the table behind me was attempting to reach a customer service hotline on speaker mode, perhaps just bad timing on a Friday lunch time.
Still, will revisit as food and beverages are good.
This place is a very comfortable and cosy, and with a service that is attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a good chat with a colleague or friend. Most of all this is a 24 hour operation cafe, so now you know you can always come after dinner, if you need a place to chill and chat.
The menu here is largely western, with a fusion theme, but largely "eggs, bread, pasta, fries" theme. And they have a large menu with a healthy range of fruit juices. I'm going back to try all the other stuff for sure--it looks so good. The ordering is done via app and it is fast.
I ordered a herbal tea and the acai bowl while my friend ordered the grill truffle mushroom and a beutiful cup of hot chocolate. The acai bowl is surprisingly good, not as good as the Acai Project in Katong, but it has fresh ingredients and it is soft enough to scoop and enjoy. The chia seeds and blueberries and the hazelnut butter is awesome.
The mushroom truffle as a snack is very good, they could do less oil. And the hot chocolate is delicious, fully chocolate and they have latte art on it!!! Needless to say, the people here pay attention to the details, that is, food is not just to be eaten, but it is an "art piece."
Came after dinner (before 8pm) on a Thursday. I think we caught the lull after dinner and before the after dinner crowd.
Seating is a little limited as the space is not huge.
I had truffle oil mushrooms. It looked like a small portion but given the oil it was actually just right for me. Hot chocolate came with latte art.
Friend had an acai bowl. I tasted one spoon and tasted mostly the other ingredients and not that much acai. They were flexible in catering for preferences eg removing strawberries.
The tea came in a big pot. If I come during the day I'll order that next time. Flavourful.
Had brunch with my family. The cafe space is small taking into consideration the display chiller, kitchen, pantry, cashiering and washing area used up most of the space. 6 dine-in tables and mini high table provided.
A lot of food and drink items are not available from the menu. Manpower issues make the service slow. They only accept cash and Scan-Pay. No Nets or paywave. Pay upon ordering.
Overall, not a place to hangout because of the cramp table settings.
Food pretty awesome. Atmosphere is casual. Environment is warm and friendly. Food ok. Slightly on the mid-high side. But disappointedly some items (chicken wings and hot chocolate) on the menu were not available. Got to figure out what the alternative. Cold brew Matcha was thick - yummy!!
Table service almost none.
Just placed on your table and walk away. Never ask whose order..etc.. 🙄
Never mind.
Just eat and enjoy.
No credit cards.
Only epayment and cash. 🤑
Enjoy!
We were helped at the cafe by the friendly Samantha. She patiently described to us what their specialities were and recommended suitable items for us. We had their Almond Butter Toast, Croissant with Scrambled Eggs & Cheese, Chilli Crab Linguine, Creamy Salmon Linguine, and 2 Sundaes (Chocolate Lover & Neapolitan). We enjoyed everything. Will be back for more.
Offers your average café food, though most of the menu seem ready-made like nuggets, fries, etc. Coffee is okay, though slightly on the expensive side compared to other cafés on the same stretch. There's Burpple Beyond but only limited to a small selection of dishes that are not worth the 1 for 1.
